Flight of Obscurity XVII features the abstract sculptures of Nathaniel Foley
About This Show
Opening Reception: Thursday November 15, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM with lecture at 7:30 PM
Flight of Obscurity XVII features the abstract sculptures of Nathaniel Foley. Foley's work references flight and the aeronautical form through cones and spires, tension wires and crates. He explores the exhilarating aspects of flight - the human desire to defy earthly limitations - as well as the sinister side of air travel: warfare. These fascinating sculptures are open to interpretation, but their dynamic forms clearly communicate this delicate balance between grace and danger.
Nathaniel Foley received his MFA from Ohio's Miami University and currently is an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Indianapolis.
