About This Show

Opening Reception: April 21st, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM with Artist Lecture at 7:30 PM

Immediate Impressions features the work of printmakers Curtis Bartone, Kandy G. Lopez and Florin Hategan. Working with techniques such as linocut, monotype, etching, aquatint, drypoint, and lithograph, these three artists are making timeless images of our contemporary world. The prints depict people and places, both modern and familiar, and confront their relationship to society, technology, art history, and themselves.

Curtis Bartone received his MFA from Northwestern University and resides in Georgia, where he teaches printmaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Kandy G. Lopez received her MFA from Florida Atlantic University and teaches visual arts at Daytona State College. Florin Hategan resides in Maple, Ontario and is an internationally exhibiting artist.
