About This Show
Opening Reception: May 26th, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM with Artist Lecture at 7:30 PM
Interface features the work of multi-disciplinary artist Michael Arrigo and photographer Jake Rowland. This exhibition examines notions of self, identity, memory, and perception, through the use of technology and through the filter of family experience. Arrigo's installations explore these concepts with a foundation in philosophy and humor, and Rowland's manipulated photographs personify relationships through surreal portraits.
Michael Arrigo received his MFA from Ohio State University, and his award-winning art has been exhibited nationally. After teaching painting in Florence, Italy and serving as director of Young Artists at Work, he is now Associate Professor of Art at Bowling Green State University and President of the Toledo Federation of Art Societies. Jake Rowland is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, New York, and is an internationally exhibiting artist. Currently, he owns and runs the Manhattan based digital imaging studio, JAM Editions Inc.
