About This Show

Opening Reception: April 20th, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM with Artist Lecture at 7:30 PM

This two-person exhibition features the work of Lawrence Tobe and Helen Tegeler. Both artists abstract the natural world around us in a vivid color palette. Tobe's large oil paintings invoke the environment and anthropology with invigorating patterns and Tegeler's glass and fabric sculptures remind us of the transformations inherent in plant forms, and how the seed's journey relates to our own lives.

Lawrence Tobe received his MFA from the University of Louisville and taught in the visual arts department of Broward College for thirty years. Helen Tegeler received her MFA from Southern Illinois University and is currently working for the Corning Museum of Glass.
