About This Show
Opening Reception: March 2nd, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
This juried exhibition showcases the works of some of the most talented Broward College art students. This is a unique opportunity for students who want to pursue an artistic career, allowing them the chance to display their work in a professional gallery environment.
This year's juror is Juan Roselione-Valadez, Director of the Rubell Family Collection. Born in Brasilia, Brazil and educated at Cooper Union in New York City, he has worked at the Rubell Family Collection since 2001. Roselione-Valadez has been involved in exhibitions throughout the United States, including acting as juror for the Florida Prize in Contemporary Art in 2015, the Corcoran Gallery and Chrysler Museum of Art, and the Orlando Museums of Art as well as other venues in Portland OR, New Orleans, and Arkansas. He has authored and edited several scholarly works and has been involved in Art Basel in Miami Beach since its inception.
As per tradition, the most exemplary works will be awarded during the reception night. Our juror, Juan Roselione-Valadez, will be responsible for choosing the recipients of such awards. There will also be a People's Choice Award chosen by the public (the voting will begin on March 2 and will stay open until March 15).
